The Captain's Study
This office is built less like a room and more like a hidden refuge. Reclaimed hardwoods wrap every surface, from wide-plank floors to hand-hewn ceiling beams, giving the space weight and warmth. A live-edge slab desk anchors the center, paired with sculpted drawer fronts and custom cabinetry that blends old world display with quiet utility. A monitor lifts effortlessly on antique sash pulleys, concealed when not in use.
Sliding barn doors cover a whiteboard and open unexpectedly to reveal a hidden room embedded in the wall. A circular porthole holds a poured epoxy seascape. Overhead, hand-hewn black limba shelves are suspended by antique block and tackle, adding both function and a sense of quiet tension. Every material is left to speak in its own voice. Every corner tells a story. The space does not announce itself. It unfolds.
